| Rabouillet
is
situated between the Corbières
and the Pyrenees
and only
1hr 15 minutes from the sea. At 700 m altitude it benefits from the sunny Mediterranean climate without the suffocating heat which can invade the plain. Rabouillet is a calm rural village of 90 inhabitants, set on the hill side and south facing, it has lovely open views over the surrounding countryside, valleys and forest. |

all! For those wishing to completely relax, you can spend the week in the soothing atmosphere of a rural French village. Enjoy country and forest walks, take the time to chat to the locals or just chill out on the terrace with a good book. No-one is in a hurry here and the outside world can be completely forgotten for as long as you wish. However, most people can't resist the treasures found in our region and a few day trips out are normally felt necessary! |

off!! -Butcher and baker vans visit the village during the week -Butchers, baker, grocers, Post Office, Chemist, Doctor, restaurant, 6km -Supermarkets on all main roads leading to village; Ille sur Tet, Prades, St Paul de Fenouilledes ( so stocking up is easily done on the way home ). |
Rabouillet

seasons! -Fields of wild daffodils - April -Wild cystis flowering on the hills - June -Orchids and other wild flowers - May to September -Wild strawberries, cherries and blackberries - June to September -Wild mushrooms, chestnuts, hazelnuts and walnuts - September to November -Rabouillet forest in all its splendour all year round! The fresh green in spring, the welcome shade in summer and the beautiful colours in autumn. |
